The fact that you’re visiting my website says that you are contemplating making a change in your life or your relationship. This is a great first step, and many times, it is the scariest. To make a change, you must first admit to yourself there is a problem, and then decide if this is a problem you want to continue living with, or are you ready to change it.
If you are unhappy with your life, or your relationship, those feelings will not go away on their own. That unhappy feeling will not change until you decide it is time to make a change.
Therapy is not an easy process. It takes time, effort, patience, persistence, and courage. Courage is a trait we use to describe superheroes as they face down a villain, and save the world. Well, it is also a trait I use to describe people in therapy; they are superheroes in my book! Through therapy, you are the hero facing down your own personal villain; many times that villain is the same person you see in the mirror. With courage, and the right sidekick (therapist), you can defeat your villain and save the world, your world.
